Volleyball: Potomac State wins home opener, sweeps Penn Highlands

KEYSER, W.Va. — Potomac State used a pair of 25-18 wins coupled with a 25-5 blowout to defeat Penn Highlands in the Catamounts’ home opener.

Shayla Hillian and Jesi Dayton were the points leaders for Potomac State — Hillian had 12 on seven kills and five aces; Dayton finished with seven points on five kills and two aces. She also added four digs. Ericka Gordon, Anya Murray and Brittney Hozdic had six kills apiece and Sarah Whiteman added five.

Noelle Sneddon had 18 assists, Bailey Godlove recorded 13 assists and six digs and Makaleigh Roberts finished with eight digs.

Potomac State (3-0) will travel to Penn State Beaver on Friday to play a doubleheader against Penn State Beaver at 4:30 p.m. and the Community College of Beaver County at 7 p.m.
