Volleyball: PSC surges past Cecil, 3-1

KEYSER, W.Va. — After dropping game two to Cecil, Potomac State College won the final two games to send the Seahawks packing with a 3-1 loss to the Catamounts Wednesday at Dana G. Lough Gymnasium.

The Cats won the opener 25-21, but lost the second game by the same score as Cecil evened things out. Game three went to Potomac State by a score of 25-13 and it won game four 25-22 to grab its 18th win of the season.

Shayla Hillian had 16 points on 10 kills, three aces and four total blocks, while Brittany Hovic finished with 12.5 points on nine kills and six total blocks. Sarah Lowery finished with 12 points on six kills, six total blocks and three aces, Ericka Gordon added 15 digs, five kills and two aces and Bailey Godlove threw together 32 assists and 11 digs. Skylar Barbe gave the Cats 15 digs and Makaleigh Roberts had 13.

The win keeps the Cats undefeated (8-0) against Region XX, Division II teams and improves them to 18-6 overall. PSC will finish the regular season on Friday at 6 p.m. when it hosts Garrett.
