Volleyball: PSC downs Garrett; opens Region XX play Friday

KEYSER, W.V. — Potomac State College had little difficulty defeating Garrett College in straight sets Friday evening in the Dana G. Lough gymnasium.

The Catamounts won 25-11, 25-14 and 25-16.

Shayla Hillian and Sarah Lowery led the way with a combined 17 kills. Hillian had nine and Lowery eight. They each had two aces and Hillian had four blocks and Lowery four digs.

Bailey Godlove had 30 assists, four kills, two aces and five digs. Jesi Dayton made six kills and had 11 digs while Anya Murray and Brittney Hovic each had six. Hovic made two blocks.

Makaleigh Roberts, Skylar Barbe and Sarah Whiteman combined for 31 digs with Roberts leading the way with 14.

Potomac State finished the regular season 19-6 and will enter the Region XX tournament as the top seed when it begins Friday in Hagerstown.
