Volleyball: Slider helps Potomac State sweep 2 matches

Catamounts play tonight at home

BEL AIR — Hanna Slider combined for 55 assists to help lead Potomac State College to sweeps over Essex and host Harford Tuesday evening in junior college volleyball action.

Slider had 30 assists and three aces, five digs and three block assists as the Catamounts defeated Essex by game scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-14.

Ericka Gordon had 10 kills, two aces and five digs while Kierra Holton and Brittany Hozdix each had eight kills.Holton also had three block assists.

“The girls played very well today in lieu of Bailey Godlove being out with an injury,” said Potomac State College head coach Martha Ganoe. “The girls on the bench stepped up and did a nice job.”

Slider made 25 asists with five kills, two aces, nine digs and a block assist against Harford.

The Catamounts won 25-22, 25-18 and 25-13.

Devan Day had 20 digs and Annie Fox added 14 with six kills. DeJaha

Morris and Hozdic each had seven kills and a block assist. Hozdic made two solo blocks.

Potomac State (13-4) hosts Harford tonight at 7 p.m.
