Volleyball: Potomac State sweeps two at Rockville

ROCKVILLE, MD — Potomac State College, behind Hanna Slider and Bailey Godlove, swept two matches in a trimatch at Montgomery Community College Saturday afternoon.

In the  opener against Montgomery, the Catamounts won 3-0 behind game scores of 25-9, 25-23 and 25-22. They defeated Rhode Island Community College 3-0 (25-9, 25-17 and 25-23).

Against the Knights, Slider led the team with 27 assists, made six digs, two block assists and had two aces. Ericka Gordon ahd Godlove combined for seven aces with Gordon getting five. She had six kills and four digs. Godlove had five kills and 10 digs.

Brittney Hozdic made nine kills, DeJaha Morris three and Annie Fox two. Viriya Lim had 10 digs, Devan Day five and Fox two.

Godlove led Potomac State against Rhode Island with six aces, nine kills and seven digs.

Slider powered her way

with 24 assists and had two blocks. Gordon had seven kills and 13 digs while Day had 12 digs.

Holton made six kills and had four blocks, Lim made two aces and had five digs.

Morris and Hozdic each had three kills and two blocks.

The Catamounts (11-4) will play in a tri-match at Harford and against Essex.
