Volleyball: Potomac State sweeps tri-match with Delaware Tech, Cecil

Hozdic, Gordon, Slider lead Cats

NORTH EAST — Potomac State swept Delaware Tech and Cecil College to move one step closer to a 20-win season Saturday in college women’s volleyball.

The Catamounts (19-5) beat Delaware Tech by 25-12, 25-15, 28-26 scores and defeated Cecil 26-16, 25-17, 25-22.

In the win over Delaware Tech, Brittney Hozdic had 11 kills and three blocks, Ericka Gordon nine kills and six digs, and Hanna Slider 25 assists, four kills and eight digs. Bailey Godlove added six kills, six digs, five assists and two block assists, Kiera Holton five kills, six digs, four blocks and two aces, and Devan Day four aces and 11 digs.

Against Cecil, Holton had six kills, two aces, eight digs and four blocks, Slider 26 assists, four aces and 12 digs, and Hozdic six kills and six blocks. Godlove added seven kills, 12 digs and three aces, Gordon chipped in with seven kills and two aces, and Holton had six kills, four blocks, eight digs and two aces. DeJaha added two kills and five block assists.

Potomac State plays at Garrett on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
