Plummer leads Potomac State over Beaver 3-1

MONACA, Pa. - Krista Plummer posted a triple-double with 14 service points, 10 digs and 25 assists to lead Potomac State to a 3-1 win over Beaver County.

The Catamounts rebounded after a 25-19 first game loss by winning the next three, 25-15, 25-21 and 25-15.

Plummer also had six service aces for the Catamounts (4-2). Ashley Sallee had 17 kills and 20 digs, Kari Dancy 12 points, 11 digs and four aces, Julieanne Buckley eight kills and 10 digs, and Lauren Douthitt 12 digs.

The Catamounts opened their season under first-year head coach Martha Ganoe, former Frankfort High head coach, at the Dragon Invitational at Howard over the weekend.

Buckley, named to the all-tournament team, led Potomac State to second place in their pool. The Catamounts lost in the next dayıs semifinals to the Community College of Rhode Island, and finished 3-2 in the tournament.

Potomac State makes its home debut on Friday, 6 p.m., against Westmoreland.
