Martha Ganoe enters her first season as the head women's volleyball coach at Potomac State College after being named to the position in March of 2008.

 

Before coming to PSC Ganoe was the head coach at her alma mater, Frankfort High School in Ridgeley, WV from 1999-2007.  During her tenure at Frankfort she compiled a record of 191-86.  She has received honors as the Potomac Valley Conference Coach of the year and was also named the 2007 AMAC coach of the year.  Ganoe has led the Falcons to 9 straight WV state tournaments appearances and has finished in the top four on three different occasions.  Her teams have captured 10 straight sectional championships and have also won several regional championships. 

 

Prior to coaching at Frankfort High school, Ganoe assisted at East Fairmont High school in Fairmont, WV before moving on as the Head Coach for Lincoln High School in Shinston, WV for a year.  Following her time at Lincoln, Ganoe moved back to East Fairmont High school as the head coach. 

 

While coaching at Lincoln High and East Fairmont High School in the winter seasons Ganoe also assisted Larry Hill in the Fall as the assistant women's volleyball coach at Fairmont State University in Fairmont WV from 1991-1994.   While coaching at Fairmont State University Ganoe helped Hill to lead the Falcons to a 103-73 record. 

 

A 1986 graduate of Frankfort High School Ganoe played her college career at Fairmont State University, where she assisted in leading the Falcons to a 116-71 record.  In her senior year Ganoe was a pivotal part in the Falcons successful undefeated conference record of 18-0.  She helped to lead the Falcons to two WVIAC conference championships and 3 WVIAC Tournament Championships.  During her junior and senior years at FSC Ganoe was named to the WVIAC all Conference teams as well as receiving All East honors.  During her senior year, Ganoe was also named the MVP of the WVIAC Tournament.  She is currently the Fairmont State University all time defensive leader with a career 1,806 digs.
