Lady Cats fall to Butler; drop below .500 mark

BUTLER, Pa. - The Potomac State College volleyball team dropped back below the .500 mark after a 3-0 loss to conference-leading Butler Community College on Monday evening in Butler.

With the loss, the Lady Catamounts dropped to 9-10 overall and 4-7 in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference.

Butler swept the match by scores of 30-24, 30-17 and 30-22.

Erica Pratt led Potomac State going 14-for-17 on attacks with nine kills and three digs, while Randi Bennett had two aces, two kills and five digs.

Shilo Merritt led the team with seven digs to go along with two blocks, and Nikki Sidaway led PSC with 18 assists.

Potomac State will return to action Wednesday evening when it hosts Community College of Beaver County at 6 p.m.
