Catamounts Volleyball rolls on over Butler

BUTLER, Pa. — Samantha Deter finished with 27 digs and 12 points to help Potomac State win three out of four to knock off undefeated Butler Saturday afternoon in Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference volleyball action.

Deter led the Catamounts to a 25-10 in the first game before Butler was able to even the score with a 25-22 win in the second game. PSC then won 25-23 and 25-20 to close out the victory.

Katie Bush and Taylor Douthitt both had double-double. Bush had 12 kills, 10 digs and nine points and Douthitt finished with 12 digs and 11 points. Amber Wesley added 17 kills and eight digs, and Shayla Bartles finished with 19 points, eight kills, eight digs and five blocks. Setter Taylor Oates distributed 35 assists and 15 digs.

The Catamounts beat Garrett on Thursday evening in straight sets.

Potomac State (7-1 overall, 3-0 WPCC) plays at Hagerstown on Monday.
