Volleyball: Catamounts put a stop to NOVA streak

KEYSER, W.Va. — Potomac State defeated Northern Virginia in five games Tuesday night, 25-18, 25-23, 13-25, 22-25 and 15-5 at Lough Gymnasium to break Northern Virginia’s nine-match winning streak.

Stephanie Bills and Amber Wesley led the way in the fifth game, with Wesley coming up with nine kills, five coming in the last game. Bills had 17 points and four aces on the night, with six points and four aces in the fifth.

Katie Bush had 16 kills and 18 digs for PSC, while Peyton Smith had 32 assists and 12 digs. Bobbi Burnett had five kills and three blocks and Cody Corbin six kills and 12 digs.

Potomac State (7-5) will host Beaver Community College today at 7 p.m.
