Check-In / Arrival

Check-in for new arrivals for the Fall 2011 semester will be Friday, August 19 - Sunday, August 21.

Please report to University Place to check into all halls, while there you will receive your move-in documents. Official check-in times are between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Aug. 19th and 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 20th and Sunday Aug. 21st. University police officers, staff, and signs will be directing traffic around the residence halls and providing directions for parking. If you are to arrive after 4 p.m., please make prior arrangements with the Office of Residential Education.

If you have a moving cart or dolly, you might want to bring it along to help with transporting your belongings to your room. We do provide carts but we have a limited supply. The Potomac Cafe will be open for dining. Check the Connections Weekend schedule for events to orient you to our campus-community.

X-Press Check-In Information

Fill out the following documents prior to arriving to campus:

Resident Information Form pdf

Family Educational Right and Privacy Act Release Form pdf

All forms are in Adobe Acrobat Reader, if you do not have Adobe you can download it free here. Get Adobe Reader

If you cannot fill out the documents prior to arrival, report to University Place where extra copies will be provided for check-in. When arriving at Potomac State, enter through the main entrance of campus for parking instructions. Signs and staff will direct you to your hall. Each car will be given a parking pass for 30 minutes. Report directly to your check-in area with the completed forms. We ask that each student unpack their car first, move the vehicle to one of the upper lots, then setup their room.  This will allow for others to use the parking spaces closer to the halls to do the same.
