The Potomac State College of West Virginia University Alumni Association cordially invites you to a Dutch treat dinner at the Knights of Columbus, 1529 Mary Lou Retton Drive, Fairmont, West Virginia 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014
Menu: Pasta and meatballs, salad, baked chicken, green beans, new potatoes, cake, coffee, and iced tea.

This year our Homecoming theme is “Happy Birthday Davis Hall”. As we celebrate the 100th birthday of Davis Hall. Perhaps you’ll remember fondly the time spent there, the long hours of study as well as the endearing friendships you established.
Homecoming kicks off on Friday, October 24 with the annual 50’s Get Together at the Candlewyck Inn beginning at 6 p.m. The meal will consist of a two-meat buffet including a variety of vegetables and potatoes, salad, the Candlewyck’s specialty cupcakes, and coffee or tea. On Saturday, October 25 the Welcome Brunch and Recognition of Anniversary Classes 1964, 1989, and 2004 will be held in the Heritage Room (located in University Place) from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Campus President Dr. Len Colelli will provide an update on the College at 10 a.m. Other activities scheduled for Saturday include a Campus Tour at 10:30 a.m. beginning at the entrance of University Place. The PSC baseball team is hosting its second Alumni Baseball game at 1 p.m. with batting practice beginning at 11:30 a.m. After the game, there will be an alumni cookout at Golden Park. At 5 p.m. there will be a Baseball Alumni meeting to discuss the past and future of Potomac State baseball. At 8 p.m. there will be a “Catamounts for Life” social hour at Clancy’s. The Lady Cats Basketball team will be holding a scrimmage with Salem University in the Lough Gymnasium at 1:00 p.m. The Catamounts Men’s Soccer team will take on Howard Community College at 1 p.m. on our newly turfed Stayman field.
In conjunction with other Homecoming activities, Campus President Len Colelli and his wife, Linda, cordially invites our anniversary classes: 1964, 1989, and 2004 to a light reception at their home from 4 to 5:15 p.m. A shuttle will leave from the Science Hall parking lot beginning at 3:45. Don’t forget to stop by the bookstore which will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for those interested in purchasing PSC or WVU items. The Mary F. Shipper Library will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Find out the interesting story behind the “Cistern Collection”.
The day will culminate with the Awards Banquet which is being held in the Davis Conference Center. Social Hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Alumni Achievement honorees include Dr. Alfred Barr, Class of 1953, and Professor Don Emerson, Class of 1943. Our Distinguished Service honoree is Anna (Dolly) Kimble Cox, Class of 1953. The recipient of the Young Alumni Award is Scotty Miley, Class of 2006.
