An Open Letter from Athletic Director Shawn White

Dear Alumni and Friends,

Come celebrate history! Two thousand and fifteen marks the 20-year anniversary of the 1995 Division II JUCO National Championship Baseball Team. The Athletic Department at Potomac State College and the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee would like to invite you back to the PSC campus to share in the recognition of the 1995 National Champs and participate in our annual Weekend of Honors celebration.

Shawn WhiteThe weekend will begin Friday, April 24th at 3 p.m. with an ‘Open House’ at the brand new baseball clubhouse at Golden Park. This will be a great opportunity to tour the facility and enjoy some light refreshments while trading ‘glory days’ stories and catching up with other alumni.

On Saturday, April 25th, the Potomac State baseball team will play host to Monroe College at noon. We invite you to attend the game and enjoy the highly anticipated return of “Gold Rush!” Prizes and giveaways will be raffled off between innings as we try to break the single game attendance record at Golden Park. Prior to the start of game two, we will have a short on-field ceremony to recognize all the members of the ’95 National Championship team.

At 6 p.m. Saturday evening, you are invited to attend the Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet in the Davis Conference Center. This year’s inductees are: Mike Duvall, Class of 1995; Jerry Mahoney, Class of 1975; and Kevin Schnall, Class of 1997; ironically, all three played baseball during their time at Potomac State. Our 1995 team will be recognized as well with brief remarks from ’95 Head Coach Craig Rotruck. We will also recognize all of our current student-athletes and coaches.

Reservations are required for the banquet and should be made by April 17th by contacting Libby Kalbaugh at or at 304.788.6870. The cost for dinner is $20 per person and should be paid in advance.

Hope to see you in April as we celebrate this historic achievement!
