Student Relay for Life/April 19, 2007
The College hosted its first-ever “Student Relay for Life” event at Stayman Field, through the night from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. All proceeds benefited the American Cancer Society.
The event also featured a Cancer Awareness Luminary Ceremony at 9 p.m. Luminaries were lit in honor of cancer survivors or in memory of individuals who lost their battle with cancer.
The PSC Relay’s student-led teams planned numerous activities for the night. Food, music, crafts, games, face painting, a small petting zoo, movies on a large outdoor screen, and a chicken wing eating contest were just some of the events planned for the night. The College community and the entire tri-state area were invited to attend and take part in the festivities.
