Graduates will have the skills and knowledge employers need for an entry-level position in health informatics and information if they choose to enter the workforce immediately, working at large healthcare systems, clinics and physicians’ offices to name a few.  Opportunities include:

  • Health Data Analyst
  • Insurance Claims Analyst
  • Clinical Coding Specialist
  • Patient Information Coordinator
  • Physician Practice Manager
  • Records Technician Specialist

The HIIM major blends three distinct areas of interest that appeal to many students –healthcare, technology and business management-- thereby connecting the gap between clinical, technology and business.
