Potomac State College to present ‘Christmas Concert’

The Potomac State College/Community Concert Band will present their annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 6th at 7 p.m. in the Church-McKee Arts Center Auditorium. The band is under the direction of Roger Walker. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.

The concert will open with “Gavorkna Fanfare,” by Jack Stamp, followed by “Into the Light” by Jay Bocook; On a Hymnsong of Phillip Bliss” by David R. Holsinger; “Symphonic Prelude on Adeste Fidelis by Claude T. Smith; “Angels, From the Realms of Glory” by Robert W. Smith; “The Happy Sound of Christmas” by Elliott Gilman; and “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson.

The Potomac State College/Community Concert Band is comprised of students and community members on various instruments including flutes, clarinets, saxophones, horns, trumpets, trombones, euphoniums, tubas, percussion, and bassoons.
