Potomac State College of West Virginia University will once again host the annual Spring Invitational Jazz Festival on Thursday, March 31st in the Church-McKee Arts Center beginning at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

The program will feature jazz ensembles from area schools including Keyser Middle and Keyser High Schools, Frankfort High School, and from Maryland, Washington Middle and Mountain Ridge High Schools.  The PSC College-Community Jazz Ensemble will close out the program.

Fred Kesner, who has directed the College/Community Jazz Ensemble for 15 years and also serves as band director at Frankfort Middle School, had this to say, “The festival has developed into a popular annual event that showcases many young musicians and their bands. And there’s no better way for the public to show their support of educational and performance jazz than by attending the concert.”
