Stephens fills tutor position at Potomac State
Barry Stephens was recently hired as a tutor in the Academic Success Center at Potomac State College of West Virginia University, where he will tutor students in chemistry, physics, economics, and all levels of math.
Stephens earned his bachelor’s degree from Berea College in Berea, Ky. and his master of education in mathematics from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Md.
He previously served as a mathematics instructor at Garrett College in McHenry, Md. He attended CASE teacher training for the advancement of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education.
A former resident of Oakland, Md., Stephens currently resides in Keyser, W.Va.
The mission of the Academic Success Center is to work with students to assist them in defining, clarifying and achieving their academic goals. The staff of the Center also helps students become aware of the College's resources and how to use them to meet individual needs. All services provided by the Academic Success Center are free to students.
