The Potomac State College of West Virginia University volleyball team, under the direction of Head Coach Martha Ganoe, won the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference for the third time in four years. Four of the players: Katie Bush, Taylor Oates, Samantha Deter, and Amber Wesley were named to the WPCC All-Tournament team.

The College will now host the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association Volleyball State Championship on Saturday, October 22. The Catamounts are scheduled to play Harrisburg Community College, the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate champions, at 1 p.m. in Lough Gymnasium.

“This has been an outstanding year for our team.   The girls have worked hard and have really bonded together,” stated Coach Ganoe, adding, “ They play well as a team.”

The Catamounts currently boast a 19-2 season record. They will play at Allegany College of Maryland on Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m.

Before winning the championship, the Catamounts had to face off against Butler and Beaver at Westmoreland County Community College in the WPCC Volleyball Tournament this past Saturday.
