Reception held for PSC Honors and PROMISE Students

Honors and PROMISE Reception
Potomac State College of West Virginia University recently held a special reception for its Honors and PROMISE Scholar students. This event gave these students the opportunity to meet one another, as well as the faculty and staff. The event offered a light dinner, icebreakers, door prizes, and hearing from Guest Speaker PSC Alumna Johanna Reynolds. Ms. Reynolds is a former neonatal nurse with the Winchester Hospital and will soon be working at Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown, W.Va. She is also currently enrolled in WVU’s Masters of Nursing Program. Pictured from left are: Vicki Huffman, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology and advisor of the Honors Program; Students Ashley Detrick, Brooke Saville, Steven Spitzer, and Chelsea Lepley; and Guest Speaker Joanna Reynolds. There are a total of 138 PROMISE Scholar students enrolled at PSC this year, the highest number to date for the College. To see more photos, check out the Potomac State flickr page here.
