By Roy Harper

Keyser, WV- For the first time in the school's history, Potomac State's Women's soccer team is ranked 10th in the latest NJCAA National Poll.

The honor is certainly deserved as the Lady Cats have breezed through the regular season with a perfect 13-0 record.

Just how dominate have they been? How about a season in which PSC has scored 66 goals scored and only 7 against.

If the Catamounts can maintain this pace a first ever Region XX Championship is certainly within reach.

Despite the success, Head Coach Mark Sprouse still feels like an underdog when it comes to this post-season. "The odds are against us, but a trip to the national tournament is a possibility."

Sophomore Laurel Podlesnik leads Potomac State with 16 goals and three assist, which is good enough to have her ranked 16th in the NJCAA in goal scoring and 21st in overall scoring.

PSC certainly gets their chances to score as they currently rank 11th in the nation with 194 shots on goal. Podlesnik, Comfort Agyei, Abigail Altman, and Sadey Crooks are all in the top 50 in shots.

Potomac State(13-0) enters the Region XX Tournament being held at Anne Arundel Community College, as the number one seed and will face off with Montgomery College (9-7-1) today at 2PM.
