Liller receives Hood Scholarship
Brandon Liller (center), a third-year criminal justice major at Potomac State College of West Virginia University, was recently presented with The James Hood Memorial Book Scholarship. This scholarship was created in honor of James (Jimmy) Hood, a former criminal justice major at Potomac State whose life was cut short as the result of an automobile accident. Hood’s classmates wanted to do something special in his memory and came up with the idea of creating a scholarship, so each year the Hood scholarship is awarded to a Potomac State student based on academic performance and participation in the Criminal Justice Club activities. Liller is a member of the Criminal Justice Club at the College and a graduate of Keyser High School. He is the son of Marie Liller of Burlington, W.Va. Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Heidi Samuels (left) and Visiting Instructor Nicklaus Goff presented the award.
