Blank with Marines

Bill Craig (left) and Roland Bolyard (right) of the Mountainside Marines Detachment 1071 recently met with Daryl Blank, the recipient of the Mountainside Marines Scholarship at Potomac State College of West Virginia University.

Daryl Blank, a freshman biology major from Cumberland, Md. and graduate of Allegany High School, recently attended a scholarship donor/recipient dinner at Potomac State College of West Virginia University where he is currently a student.

Blank is the recipient of the Mountainside Marines Scholarship which was established by the Mountainside Marines Detachment 1071. This scholarship provides assistance to full-time or part-time students enrolled at Potomac State who are children, step-children or grandchildren of an active Marine, fallen Marine, retired Marine, or a member of the Marine Corp League 1071 or its auxiliary.

Donors and student recipients were given the opportunity to discuss the future plans of the students, as well as learn the history of their particular scholarship.
