Potomac State College of West Virginia University recently held a reception where donors had the opportunity to meet and talk with the student recipients of their scholarships. Donors enjoyed learning about the future plans of the students while the students learned the history of their particular scholarship.

Stephanie Mace, a freshman elementary education major from Ft. Ashby, W.Va., received the Skip Hackworth Scholarship which was established in honor of Hackworth’s service to Mineral County students during his tenure as superintendent of Mineral County Schools.

Alicia Loy, a freshman criminal justice major from Romney, W.Va., is the recipient of the Noah “Woody” Anderson Scholarship which is awarded to a student from Hampshire, Hardy or Mineral Counties.

Haylea Ault, a freshman BSN Nursing major from Petersburg, W.Va., is the recipient of the Ruth Ward Davis Memorial Nursing Scholarship.
