Shanholtz awarded scholarship at Potomac State

For the second year, Madison Shanholtz (center) was awarded the Chester D. Harman, MD Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a student from Grant or Pendleton County who is majoring in biology or chemistry with a pre-pharmacy or pre-medicine career path.

Shanholtz recently attended a donor dinner at Potomac State College of West Virginia University where she was able to interact with Terry Falkowski who serves as an adjunct instructor in chemistry and is also the daughter of the late Dr. Harman. Her husband, Henry Falkowski, Ph.D., professor of chemistry at Potomac State was in attendance as well.

Shanholtz is a sophomore biology major and a graduate of Petersburg High School. She is the daughter of Faron and Ronda Shanholtz.
