Potomac State College of West Virginia University held its annual reception giving donors the opportunity to meet and talk with the student recipients of their scholarships. Donors enjoyed learning about the future plans of students while the students learned the history of their particular scholarship.
The C. Edwin Jordan Scholarship is awarded to a student who is a Mineral County, W.Va. or Allegany County, Md. student, preferably from the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Freshman English major, Whitney Kesner of Keyser, W.Va., is the recipient of the Jordan Scholarship.
The scholarship was established in memory of C. Edwin Jordan, Sr. by his late wife, Virginia, and his late sister, Margaret Jordan Reeves. The late Mr. Jordan was an alumnus of Potomac State, Class of 1933. He was active on the College’s Board of Directors and the Alumni Board of Directors.
Ed Jordan, son of C. Edwin Jordan, and his wife Jackie, discussed various goals and future plans with Kesner during the reception.
