Potomac State College of West Virginia University held its annual reception giving donors the opportunity to meet and talk with the student recipients of their scholarships. Donors enjoyed learning about the future plans of students while the students learned the history of their particular scholarship.

The NewPage Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students enrolled at Potomac State College who are children of current NewPage Corporation employees and who demonstrate good academic standing.

Three of the recipients who attended the reception were Joshua Parrill, Aaron Tasker and Scott Custer.

Joshua Parrill, of Keyser, W.Va., is a freshman civil engineering major with plans to become a civil engineer for the state of West Virginia. He is a graduate of Keyser High School and the son of Raymond and Kathy Parrill.

Aaron Tasker, also a Keyser native, is a freshman chemistry major who plans to open his own dental practice someday. He is a graduate of Keyser High School and the son of George and Jennifer Tasker.

Scott Custer, of Short Gap, W.Va., is a freshman electrical engineering major and plans to complete his four-year degree in electrical engineering. He is a graduate of Frankfort High School and the son of Gary and Laura Custer.

Patsy Koontz, public relations director at NewPage Corporation, discussed various goals and future plans with the recipients.
