Kimmell recognized at Potomac State College
Kelsey Kimmell (center) was recently recognized with the inscription of her name on the Duke Anthony Whitmore/Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Academic Achievement Wall at Potomac State College of West Virginia University.
Kimmell is majoring in pre-veterinary medicine and has been named to the Provost’s List every semester she’s attended Potomac State. After completing her freshman year at the College, Kimmell received the Outstanding Agriculture Freshman Award.
She currently serves as vice president of the Sigma Phi Omega Honor Society, is a member of the women’s soccer team, The Ag and Forestry Club, the Circle K Club and was nominated for the ‘E. William Noland Outstanding Student Award’.
Kimmell is also a 4-H volunteer with Allegany County, Md. and is active with the Prosperity United Methodist Church Youth Group where she serves in the position of secretary and treasurer. Additionally, Kimmell plays in the YMCA Rec Indoor Soccer League and spends a great deal of her time volunteering at various veterinary practices to gain valuable hands-on experience. She is the daughter of Patrick and Tina Kimmell of Clearville, Pa. Presenting the award were Connie (Whitmore) Kesecker and Campus Provost Leonard Colelli.
