Barns, Buchina, Shoemaker receive Criminal Justice Award

Potomac State College of West Virginia University honored many of their students with awards and recognition during its annual Weekend of Honors this spring.  Three sophomore Criminal Justice majors were presented with the Outstanding Criminal Justice Award by Assistant Professor Heidi Samuels (left) and Instructor Nicklaus Goff (right).  The students receiving this award included (l-r):  Justin L. Buchina from Keyser, W.Va. who also serves as president of the Criminal Justice Club; Clinton Jesse Barnes from Winchester, Va.; and David Alan Shoemaker, also from Keyser.  This award is presented annually to outstanding students in the criminal justice program.  In order to be considered for the award, a student must show exceptional academic performance, participate in the Criminal Justice Club and volunteer their services to the campus and to the community.
