Area schools to participate in PSC Jazz Invitational April 15
Potomac State College (PSC) of West Virginia University invites the public to its annual Potomac State College/Community Jazz Invitational, to be held on Wednesday, April 15th at 7 p.m. in the Church-McKee Arts Center. There is no charge for this event.
Hosting the concert is the Potomac State College/Community Jazz ensemble which will feature middle and high school jazz ensembles from around the area.
Participating schools this year include Braddock Middle, Washington Middle, Frankfort Middle, Allegany High, Keyser High, and Mountain Ridge High Schools. The PSC/Community Jazz Ensemble will close out the program with their performance.
“The festival has developed into a popular annual event that has showcased many young musicians and their bands over the past several years,” said Fred Kesner, director of the PSC/Community Jazz Ensemble.
The public is encouraged to attend and help support the education and performance of jazz music in our schools and in our communities.
