Relay Week is almost here! Join Catamounts Against Cancer in our Relay-Spirit Days!
*Monday, Oct. 19th --Mountaineers For A Cure Day: Wear your WVU/PSC gear!
*Tuesday, Oct. 20th --Be The Hero Day: Represent your favorite super hero! Stop by the Quad (rain location the Student Union Loft) to grab information on how you can be someone's hero by registering with the National Bone Marrow Registry. Then, BE THE HERO the night of Relay by participating in our Be The Match registration drive under the big tent. *Wednesday, Oct. 21st --Paint the Campus Pink Day for Breast Cancer Awareness: October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Wear pink on Wednesday in support of those on campus who are breast cancer survivors and for everyone who has had breast cancer or been a caregiver of a loved one with breast cancer. Join Catamounts Against Cancer at the flagpole on the Quad at 12:30 p.m. for a "Pink Out" picture.
*Thursday, Oct. 22nd --Totally Awesome 80's Day: The theme for our Mini-Relay For Life event this year is "The 80's," so grab your sequined glove, tease your hair up big, and strut your 80's fashion-sense. Continue the fun starting at 6:00 p.m. when Relay kicks off on the Quad (rain location: Gym). During the event we will have an 80's fashion parade and award the best 80's outfits!
Relay For Life will feature live music, food, games and activities, a video gaming trailer, and fun for everyone. Special guests of the event include Paws the Catamount, the WVU Mountaineer, and Miss West Virginia Chelsea Malone! The event is open to everyone, and our community is invited to attend. Luminaries to honor loved ones who have battled cancer will be sold at Relay for $2 each, and the Luminaria Ceremony will take place approximately 8:30 p.m. PSC's Mini-Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and the Mineral County Relay For Life.
