Cumbo accepts instructor position at Potomac State

Vincenza Cumbo has accepted a position at Potomac State College of West Virginia University where she will serve as a visiting instructor of computer information systems.

Teaching responsibilities include instruction in hardware, software applications, networking, database management, programming logic, operating systems, and other computer information courses. 

Prior to accepting this position at Potomac State, Cumbo served as a full-time instructor and brings with her more than 13 years of experience developing software in a full-life cycle software Cumbodevelopment environment. 

She is experienced in several software languages including C++, C# and Visual Basic, VBA, Power Builder, Cold Fusion, Java Script, HTML, and XML VB Script.  She is also experienced in a range of database background which includes Sq1Server, MySq1, Oracle, and MS ACCESS, as well as database programming. 

Cumbo was previously employed by DCS Corporation, BAE SYSTEMS, Northrop Grumman, Metters Corporation, Textron Financial, and Sema Group Telecom, serving in a variety of positions from software engineer to programmer analyst.

Cumbo earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Worcester State College in Worcester, Mass., both a master’s degree in computer information technology and a graduate certificate in software development management from the University of Maryland University College, as well as certification as a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer for online curriculum.
