Gray receives Davis Scholarship from Potomac State
Potomac State College (PSC) of West Virginia University (WVU) is pleased to announce that Courtney Gray, of Athens, has been offered the Ruth Ward Davis Memorial Nursing Scholarship which was established at Potomac State in 2007.
The late Ruth Ann Davis, Ph.D., professor emerita of biology and chemistry, retired from the College in 2001 after 18 years of service. The funds were donated in memory of her mother and were the largest donation to the College at that time. This endowment provides undergraduate scholarships for freshmen students enrolled in the College’s pre-med and pre-nursing programs.
Gray is a graduate of Pikeview High School and plans to earn her BSN Degree in nursing.
PSC is a division of WVU, located in Keyser, W.Va., and offers more than 50 programs of study culminating in two- and four-year degrees. The College has been recognized the past three years as one of the most affordable four-year colleges in the nation.
