McDaniel named admissions counselor at Potomac State
Ebone McDaniel, of St. Mary’s County, Md., recently accepted a job at Potomac State College of West Virginia University where she’ll be serving as an admissions counselor in the Enrollment Services office.
In this position, McDaniel will plan and implement a student recruitment program which includes the Virginia area, some West Virginia counties and other states outside of Maryland and Pennsylvania.
McDaniel earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Frostburg State University (FSU) in Frostburg, Md. in 2015. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in higher education administration.
While a student at FSU, McDaniel served as a Bobcat Ambassador. In this role, she worked with the admissions office to prepare for open houses, gave campus tours to prospective students, explained the admissions process, and reviewed student interest topics. She also served as the Risk Management Chair for the Delta Zeta National Sorority.
McDaniel has prior experience as an event management coordinator with Student and Community Involvement at FSU, as well as experience advising student organization leaders and administrators in planning campus events. In addition to collaborating with campus partners, she’s also facilitated weekly meetings with various departments regarding upcoming events. Furthermore, McDaniel has worked for two insurance companies serving as a multi-line representative and also owns an event planning and management company.
In addition to being mom to a two-year-old, McDaniel is the daughter of Rodney McDaniel.
