Potomac State Employees Grady, Wilkins Reach 25 Years-of-Service Milestone
Potomac State College of West Virginia University Employees Diana Grady, (right) an administrative assistant in Student Life and Rebecca Wilkins, (left) a financial aid counselor in Enrollment Services, recently reached their 25 years-of-service milestone.
Grady has served in her current position for the past 20 years, having previously served as an accounting assistant in the Business Office. Throughout the years, she has served on various committees including chair of the Classified Staff Council from 1994-1996 and has held the position of secretary for the PSC Social Club since 2001. She was named the ‘Outstanding Staff Person of the Year’ for 2008-2009 and was an Outstanding Staff Nominee again in 2014-2015.
Grady is graduated from PSC having earned an associate degree in secretarial services. She went on to earn a Regents Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2003.
Grady and her husband of 40 years, Rob, are the parents of Jeremy and Kristen. Their family includes Kristen’s husband Brad and sons Bradly and Connor Rotruck.
Wilkins began her career at Potomac State serving as a lecturer for English 101 and English 102 from 1987-1991. She became the interim housing coordinator in 1989 and served as director of residence life from 1995-2001. Wilkins has worked as a financial aid counselor since 2001.
She has been active within the College community serving as the representative for the Advisory Council of Classified Employees from 1987-1995, as a member of the Institutional Board of Advisors for Potomac State from 1996-2005, and served as the Alumni Activities Coordinator from1997-2002. Wilkins was also honored as the 2005 Student Support Services Staff Honoree of the Year.
Wilkins earned her medical secretarial diploma from Strayer College in Washington, D.C.; an associate degree in secondary education from Potomac State; a bachelor’s degree in English/General Business and a M.Ed. in English/Educational Curriculum, both from Frostburg State University. While attending Frostburg, Wilkins was a member of the Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society.
Wilkins’ family includes her son, Lincoln, daughter-in-law, Amanda, and grandson Andrew; as well as her daughter, Stephanie Jones, son-in-law, John, and granddaughters, Jacqueline and Jennifer.
