Meek accepts position as administrative associate at Potomac State

Shannon Meek, who previously served as a Mountaineer Temp employee at Potomac State College of West Virginia University, was recently hired as an administrative associate in the Academic Dean’s Office.

In this position, Meek is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Academic Dean’s Office by providing direct support to the Dean and to the Academic Affairs Council.  In addition to monitoring and tracking the budget and expenditures of the office, Meek also maintains faculty division materials for files as well as assigning academic advisors to students, allocating classroom assignments and disseminating the College’s schedule listing index.  Furthermore, Meek serves as co-advisor for the Black Student Alliance Club at the College. 

Prior to coming to the College, Meek served as the city administrator for the city of Keyser and as assistant director for the Catamount Children’s Center (CCC).  She continues to serve as secretary for the CCC Board of Directors, as well as treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Mineral County Court Appointed Special Advocate.
