Auditions announced for PSC’s production of “Oliver!”

Potomac State College Theater announces upcoming auditions for their Spring 2017 musical, "Oliver!"  Auditions will be January 8 and 9 at 6:30 each evening at the Church-McKee Arts Center on the campus of Potomac State College of West Virginia University.  All roles are open, and a large cast of children, teens and adults are needed for this classic musical.A full synopsis and Olivercharacter breakdown are available at the Music Theatre International website.

Please come prepared with a short musical selection (in your key)  that shows your voice.  An accompanist will be provided.  CD and MP3 accompaniments are also welcomed.  Please come dressed to move for a short dance audition as well.

Oliver!” is an award-winning Broadway musical based on the Charles Dickens novel, Oliver Twist. In this adaptation, 11-year-old orphan Oliver Twist falls in with a group of street-urchin pickpockets led by the Artful Dodger and masterminded by the criminal Fagin. When Oliver's intended mark, Mr. Brownlow, takes pity on the lad and offers him a home, Fagin's henchman Bill Sikes plots to kidnap the boy to keep him from talking. The show will be directed by Chris McCabe with choreography by Kim Rowley. Rehearsals will begin January 11.  Show dates are March 17-26, 2017.  For more information, please contact Dr. Brian Plitnik (Producer) at 304-788-6969 or at .
