Former PSC Student Succeeds In Business

Henry Newby attended Potomac State College of West Virginia University in 2007 and recently returned to campus as a guest speaker to the students in a business core course taught by Amy Weaver, business and computer information systems instructor. Newby is a successful entrepreneur having started his own hip-hop dance studio seven years ago, Compelled 2 Dance, in Keyser, W.Va. A self-professed music and arts lover, Newby is also the proprietor of Compelled Clothing, in which he designs and sells inspirational t-shirts on-line. To date, he has several different designs and has sold hundreds of t-shirts worldwide since starting his business a year ago.  Newby, pictured center, just recently returned from the 48th GMA Dove Awards in Nashville, Tenn. where he was awarded “Fan Favorite” for his Christian pop/contemporary song, “Your Love is Life.” While in Tennessee, he recorded the song where it will soon be produced and available for sale through iTunes.
