Potomac State Professor Cassandra Pritts recognized for ‘Commitment to Accessibility’
Cassandra Pritts, center, a history professor at Potomac State College of West Virginia University (WVU) was presented with WVU’s first ‘Commitment to Communication Access Award’ during the annual Homecoming Banquet this month. This award recognizes a faculty or staff member or graduate assistant from the WVU community who shows outstanding dedication to equality and who proactively works to make the University environment accessible to students who are deaf and hard of hearing. The award is sponsored by the Office of Accessibility Services and the Transcriber & Interpreter Program. Interim Campus President Jennifer Orlikoff and Dean of Academic Affairs Gregory Ochoa made the presentation.
