Potomac State College to host Jazz Festival April 26th

The WVU Potomac State College/Community Jazz Ensemble will host a big band Jazz Festival on Wednesday, April 26th.  The program, which will feature jazz ensembles from area schools, will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Church-McKee Arts Center on the College campus in Keyser, W.Va. 

The festival has developed into a popular annual event that has showcased many young musicians and their bands over the past several years.

Bands participating in this year’s festival consist of: Braddock Middle, Washington Middle, Frankfort Middle, Keyser Middle, Westmar Middle, Keyser High, Hampshire High, and Mountain Ridge High.  The Potomac State College/Community Jazz Ensemble will perform as well during the program.

The program is free and the public is encouraged to attend and help support the education and performance of jazz music in our schools.
