Scheduling events at Potomac State keeps coordinator busy
From wedding receptions to business dinners to simple meetings, Renee Anderson, special events coordinator at WVU Potomac State College (PSC), is ready to assist you with your next event. Since August 2015, when she joined the PSC staff, Anderson has worked with individuals (both on and off campus) to help coordinate their events by reserving the dates, facilities and services, and has coordinated numerous events – both large and small.
She works closely with other departments such as: dining services to fulfill catering requests; housing and residence life to reserve facilities such as the Heritage Room or the theater in University Place; maintenance and facilities to ensure venues are clean and presentable and to ensure that special requests, such as tables and chairs, are met; and campus police, if traffic and parking oversight is needed. Other College facilities that are often reserved for events include the Church-McKee Arts Center, athletic fields and the Davis Conference Center.
Anderson will also work with you to reserve classrooms, the Quad, the new recreational center, conference rooms across campus, and Lough Gymnasium.
In her role as events coordinator, Anderson’s goal is to help make the client’s event a success.
Furthermore, Anderson serves on the Classified Staff Council and as Potomac State’s representative for the statewide Advisory Council of Classified Employees.
For more information, contact Anderson at 304-788- 6920 or at Renee.Robinson@mail.wvu.edu to start the conversation about holding an event on campus.
