Moore joins Potomac State College Faculty

Mary Beth Moore recently accepted a position at West Virginia University Potomac State College as the new instructor of computer information systems.

Mary Beth Moore Moore earned her bachelor’s degree in history of art from Bryn Mawr College, a master’s degree in art history from Temple University, and a second master’s degree in applied computer science from Frostburg State University.

Prior to being hired full-time, Moore taught several classes at Potomac State College, and also worked in the Student Success Center as a writing center consultant at Allegany College of Maryland.  Furthermore, she has served as an adjunct instructor at various colleges teaching classes in computer science, database application, and web design.

Moore served as a graduate technology assistant in the Department of Health and Physical Education at Frostburg State University where she consulted with department website coordinators to develop and maintain web pages and to develop a plan for social media; assisted faculty within the department to integrate technology into the curriculum; conducted training utilizing Microsoft applications; and assisted department faculty with design projects utilizing graphic design.

It’s also interesting to note that Moore developed a website and app for Cool Traveler Magazine/Newsletter, presented at the Mid Atlantic Writing Center Association 2010 Conference at the University of Delaware, and has a reading knowledge of German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
