West Virginia University Potomac State College recognizes the
importance of marking historic anniversaries as part of our educational
mission. January 27, 2020 is the 75th
anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and
extermination camp, Auschwitz. The
Memorial and Museum at Auschwitz-Birkenau will be commemorating this noteworthy
milestone in a world-wide, free streaming of events from the former
concentration and extermination camp grounds, featuring world leaders and, most
vitally, 200 survivors of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
WVU will begin streaming the event across all three campuses on Monday, January
27, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., when the commemorations will begin. We will continue streaming throughout the
course of the day, ending at 5 p.m.
