Employees are to work with direct supervisors on remote assignments to be completed during the campus breaks. As a result, WVU Potomac State College will continue to provide service to the campus community during the off-site dates. However, most on-site operations will be available remotely.  Some essential Campus services will remain open.

    Essential and Non-Essential Facilities Employees

    Essential

During the holiday and campus break remote-work dates, all essential Facilities Management staff will be required to report to campus as normally scheduled, unless they have been approved to use leave or have an approved remote-work assignment.

    Non-Essential

All non-essential, Facilities Management staff will be given a remote-work assignment to complete during these remote dates. Non-essential Facilities Management staff are also able to use leave pending supervisor approval.

    First Remote Work Date

The first holiday and campus break will be effective for personnel on November 24 and November 25 from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm. Some employees will be contacted by their supervisor with additional information regarding a campus break work schedule to support ongoing campus services.

Employees with questions or concerns should contact their direct supervisor.

All employees should connect to the VPN (Virtual Private Network) system to ensure off-site access to WVU systems. If you would like to request leave, please contact your immediate supervisor for next steps in accessing the Applaud system. The ITS team anticipates an influx of users in the Applaud system as a result of this announcement. If you experience technical difficulties, please contact ITS Help Desk at 304-293-4444 or email ITShelp@mail.wvu.edu.

Please review the FAQs (frequently asked questions) for more details. If you have additional questions, please contact your immediate supervisor.
