CHARLESTON—West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey’s partnership with colleges in West Virginia will bring students from Potomac State University to two middle schools in Mineral County on Thursday, March 7, to share drug abuse prevention information with eighth grade students.
The presentations will take place at Frankfort Middle School in Ridgeley and Keyser Middle School in Keyser. The initiative, launched in March 2017, has partnered with Potomac State’s Department of Nursing and several other universities.
Accomplished illustrator and
filmmaker Keryn Thompson will visit West Virginia University Potomac State
College on Monday, March 25 to discuss the art of filmmaking with the Potomac
State Film Club. The event will be held in
the University Place Theater from 6-8 p.m., where Thompson will be screening a film as well as
fielding questions about the filmmaking process. This event is free and open to the
public.

19, 2019, KEYSER, WV - Discover Potomac State Day, an open house event, was
recently held on the campus of West Virginia University Potomac State College
in Keyser, W.Va. During the event, Hanna Sredy’s name was drawn as the lucky
winner of a $500 book scholarship. Currently, Sredy is a senior at Somerset
Area High School, in Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Ralph and Lisa Sredy.

West Virginia University Potomac State College is now offering an enhancement regarding
their transcript services. Official, secure e-transcripts are now available
to current students and alumni.
The WVU Potomac State Office of Enrollment Services is now live with transcript services
from Credentials Solutions. Online ordering and electronic delivery offer current
students and alumni quicker service from wherever they are located. This
enhancement will expedite transcript ordering and fulfillment processes without
sacrificing the level of expected service.
Coach Patrick is inviting high school male players from all over the state of West
Virginia and surrounding areas to come participate. Find out what these new exciting

FEBRUARY 15, 2019, KEYSER, WV -- Ethan Patrick joins
the West Virginia University Potomac State College Catamounts as the new head
men’s soccer coach in preparation for the 2019 fall season. Most recently he
served as an assistant soccer coach at both Marywood University (NCAA DIII), in
Scranton, Pa. and Richard Bland College (NJCAA DI), in Petersburg, Va.
“I am very excited and happy for the players on our team. They have worked hard and played hard for several months to win 21 straight games and to be recognized as the current number one team in the country. This is awesome. We understand that the road for us ahead is very difficult and we plan to continue the trek toward a regional championship. Proud is the only word that describes my feelings at this moment. #GOCATAMOUNTS,” said Head Coach Shawn White.
The men will take to the court again tomorrow night, Feb. 13, against Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, at 7 p.m., in the Lough Gym.

Potomac State College’s annual Valentine’s Day Dinner and Show on Saturday, February
16. This event will be held in the Davis Conference Center. Doors open
at 5:30 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6 p.m.
The cutting edge sound of Dueling Pianos is back by popular demand as this year’s
entertainment. Attendees will be amused with an interactive show that’s sure
to have everyone clapping, laughing, singing, and dancing!
