Peyton Duncan, a pre-nursing major from Romney, W.Va., was presented with the Catamounts Climb Higher Award for December 2024 at West Virginia University Potomac State College, by Campus President Dr. Jerry Wallace.

Former Keyser resident, George K. Oss and his wife, Joann, recently made an additional donation to the Dulin Memorial Scholarship, which was endowed in 2016, with the WVU Foundation. The scholarship was created in memory of his late grandmother, Cora A. Dulin, who raised George and his sister after their mother passed away.

Thank you for the opportunity to join the community and lead this historic institution into the next chapter. During my transition back to West Virginia, I connected with PSC employees and students and enjoyed getting out in the community. Some of our initial favorite local restaurants include Queen’s Point Coffee and Castiglia’s Italian Eatery!

I have met with staff, faculty and community members who beam with Catamount Pride and understand with hard work we can serve as a beacon of hope for many more students in the region. I have multiple engaging employee activities in store for PSC faculty and staff which also includes a Potomac State College retiree breakfast each semester.

WVU Potomac State College Interim Campus President Paul Kreider presented Julee Ann Sullivan, a Bachelor of Science in nursing major from Keyser, with the Catamounts Climb Higher award at West Virginia University Potomac State College for October 2024.

Skip Homan and his wife, Nancy (l to r), recently donated an additional planned gift to the Charles I. "Skip" and Nancy J. Homan Scholarship at WVU Potomac State College. The scholarship focuses on STEM related areas, with first preference going to students majoring in civil engineering. West Virginia University Potomac State College Theatre will hold auditions (by appointment only) for the 2025 musical production, “Anastasia,” on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 10 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Show dates are March 14-23, 2025, with up to two shows for area schools during the week of March 17. Please note, in addition to performance dates, performers must be available from March 8-13 for mandatory rehearsals.

Jamie Kelly, an elementary education major from Front Royal, Va., was presented with the Catamounts Climb Higher Award for September 2024 at West Virginia University Potomac State College.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — An experienced servant leader and higher education administrator with ties to the Mountain State has been named the next president of West Virginia University Potomac State College.

During the upcoming Mountain Streams Music Celebration on Saturday, October 26, at WVU Potomac State College, former music professors will be recognized posthumously for their musical contributions to WVU Potomac State College, the community, and beyond.
