Keyser, WV – WVU Potomac State College Director of Athletics Mandi Larkin is excited to announce the appointment of Chris Biser as the head coach of its newly established men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field programs. Teams are set to begin competition in the 2025-26 season, marking a significant expansion for Catamount Athletics and reflecting the College’s continued commitment to student-athlete development and athletic excellence.
Keyser, WV — Students, faculty, and staff from West Virginia University Potomac State College joined the festivities at Keyser Primary School as celebrity readers for Read Across America Week, sharing their love of books and literacy with young students.
The weeklong celebration, which promotes the joy and importance of reading, welcomed the Potomac State College community to engage with children through storytelling and interactive activities.
When the WVU PSC Alumni Association received the results from the Engagement Survey, by far the most requested item was to mentor and help students. The board has been diligently working in partnership with the College to develop the WVU PSC Alumni Mentorship Program.
This program is designed to help students gain expertise while building their professional networks. The students will be teamed up with an alumni mentor, who will share their knowledge and experience in areas such as career goals, networking, educational planning, confidence and morale building, and study and time management.
Each year at homecoming, the WVU Potomac State College Alumni Association proudly presents three alumni awards to recognize the outstanding achievements of those who have earned distinction in their chosen field. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, August 1, for consideration for the 2025 Awards Reception.
