WVU Potomac State College understands the importance of Commencement for our graduates,
their families and friends. With the guidance of our COVID advisory team, we are
planning an in-person ceremony to take place at the Keyser High School Alumni Stadium for the Class of 2021. This facility provides the largest seating capacity in the
area allowing for the required physical distancing.
We are also excited to welcome back 2020 graduates who registered to participate with the May 2021 graduates and we hope they will return to campus
to celebrate their achievements!
Caps and gowns will be required to participate.
All are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes because it’s a short walk from the parking lots to the stadium. Arrangements will be made to help transport individuals with mobility issues from the parking lots to the stadium. Parking adjacent to the stadium will be available for those with mobility-impaired license plates and placards.
Ceremonies will take place May 8th with COVID restrictions in effect. Masks and physical
distancing will be required. Due to health and safety protocols, ticket distribution
for guests will be limited to a maximum of four guests per graduate. We will follow
the guidance of our medical advisers as it relates to COVID and will adjust
plans as necessary. The event will be held rain or shine. We look forward to celebrating this milestone achievement with
