“The Little Mermaid” coming to WVU Potomac State College!

“The Little Mermaid” coming to WVU Potomac State College!

The Little Mermaid,” will enchant audiences as Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian, and a hosts of other characters come to life before their eyes.  West Virginia University Potomac State College will present “The Little Mermaid,” based on Disney’s 1989 animated motion picture of the same name.  

Audiences will be delighted as they follow the antics of 16-year-old Ariel, a mermaid who’s fascinated with life on land. As she makes her way to the surface, Ariel discovers many new things, but falling for a human prince isn’t one she expected.

Performance dates are March 15, 16, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m.; and March 17 and 24 at 2:30 p.m.  All performances will be held at the Church-McKee Arts Center on the PSC campus in Keyser.

General admission and reserved seating tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/d/wv--keyser/arts--events/ or at the door.

Patrons may also call the PSC Box Office at 304.788.6855 for reserved seating tickets or to purchase VIP tickets.

The VIP ticket offers an educational and personalized Little Mermaid experience which includes: a guided backstage tour; a photo op with the Little Mermaid; a brief history of the PSC Theatre; a “Behind-the-Scenes" peek at how things work; priority seating prior to house opening; a chance to meet the director; and a presentation on steel drums, the traditional sound of the Caribbean.

This family-friendly performance of “The Little Mermaid” is loosely based on the fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen.  Children of all ages will be fascinated by this Under the Sea journey!
